What are some artsy places to volunteer at in the Charlotte, NC area?

I want to volunteer at somewhere artsy so that I can get more experience in the artsy world. Also, I'm planning on going to a fine arts school in the future when I have the money. I went to a college for a year(not majoring in anything artsy at all) and I decided that I should take a break this year to figure out what I want to do with my life. Any suggestions? Thanks :)
